Countless times I have looked at others and their art and I’ve thought to myself, ‘these people are so talented, so creative, so gifted!’ I feel so inadequate and cannot possibly complete. The excuses are endless - I don’t have the fancy punches, I don’t have the latest designer papers, I don’t have the latest stamps., I cannot afford the gorgeous images for sale. But what I do have now is the belief in myself (after being seriously butted) Oh yes, and I do have a sense of humour!!!
Just as I enjoy other people’s art and don’t relate to others, so people out there will enjoy mine or not.

So, I leave you with this ..

Happy Sunday ……

…. to all! We have just spent a glorious week mingling with nature and getting back in touch! DH and I so enjoy this one week where we don’t have to do anything we don’t want to.
We have time share at a camp called Manyane. The game reserve Pilanesberg is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Should you be interested, you can read more about it here. (under Parks, click on Pilanesberg)

We saw nearly everything except those illusive big cats and buffalo!!!
But we did have a close encounter with both the vervet monkeys and baboons! They are actually pests and scavengers and damn cheeky and not afraid of much!
DH was sitting in the chalet reading, when this huge body appeared at the door and was having a jolly good look around to see what he can snatch and run! Heh, there wasn’t anything because we know from previous experience not to leave anything edible in sight! But the monkeys are crafty!! Two little blighters dashed in, grabbed a handful of sugar and coffee sachets, dived into the bathroom, thinking it was a way out, discovered they were trapped, so promptly peed and pooed (I suppose they were in the right place) We opened the back door and they duly made their escape onto the outside wall, where they sat munching on the sugar and coffee and looking at us as if to say, ‘so, what’s your problem?’ The sheer audacity of these rather cute looking smelly little buggers did have us giggling.

I guess this is what is known as 'watching your friend's back'????

A Long, Long Time Ago –

a year ago to be precise, I was introduced to ATCs by Bonnie!
These are a combination of paper and transparency and then I edge sealed them using a friends’ melting pot (thanks Tracey) and UTEE (I think, Ultra Thick Embossing EEEEEEE?) Just shows how clued (glued) up I am! Or would this fall under the multi media umbrella?!?!?

None the less and suffice to say, I had fun making these and they are up to trade. If you’re interested please e-mail me.
