I've been playing ...

..... again and for as long as I am able, I will.
I stumbled across Mel's blog here where there are a zillion ideas on what you can do with the Cuttlebug!
Mercy Me, I'll have to live to be a hundred and then some to try them all! Sorry Kids!

It was fun! My, am I enjoying what two thousand and MINE has thrown at me so far, including a blown car radiator! Frustrating, yes but that won't get me down.
Enjoy, try new things, they can actually be frustratingly fun! We just have to try that bit harder!
Thank you to all who have left such lovely comments and to those who visit without leaving a message, I don't bite, I promise and I would love to make your acquaintance.

Step by step …

…….. Gotcha…So I AM wicked …. and I am soooo not sorry that I have snatched your attention!

THE Challenge this week from the sleek mind of Hilda at Lotstodo EYES

I had tremendous fun playing with packaging tape transfers and a stamp from, .......... can't remember!
Background paper is/was a freebie from way back when and the 3rd eye bit I printed onto a transparency.
I had fun so therefore I hope you joined in, in my joy.
I'd also like to share this with you:
Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny -
he or she has something to fulfil, some message that has to be delivered,
some work that has to be completed.
You are not here accidentally -
you are here meaningfully.
There is a purpose behind you. The whole intends to do something through you.

I leave you with loads of love and gratitude, hopefully the burden is not too great.

Got to take ...

... the gap when cyberspace decides to be nice and keep me connected long enough to do what I need to do.
I made this some time ago and have posted it before so, I'm sorry, but somehow Father Time had a mind of his own this week.
This is in response to Hilda's Wings Challenge, over at Lotstodo This one is part of about 5 of my Mishaps that turned out quite well, actually. I'm happy with them.

I found this a while ago and really liked it and would like to share it with you.

OH WOW ….

… THANK YOU … to all who have sent birthday wishes and love and friendship, via telephone, SMS, e-mail and snail mail.
When I entered Blogland last May (..I think…) I was very hesitant. Ask Chriss. She encouraged me no end and explained the ins and outs. Since then I have met and ‘gotten’ to know so many lovely, creative and friendly ladies. They have shared their creative talents and lives with me. For this, I am really and truly grateful and thankful. Most of you don’t realise that you’ve actually pushed me to try new techniques, new ways of doing something and looking at something from a different angle.

This is my 100th post. I don’t have a fab give-away. What I do have is this:-

Art is that which, despite all, gives hope!
Art is that which contributes, however minutely,
infinitesimally, to the regeneration of our world.

- Frederick Franck

These are just a few of many I’d like to thank for their love, kindness, patience, support and constructive criticism.

Yippee .....

.... dooooodaaaah ........ blogger has finally let me in!! Amazing!!

I managed ONE whole challenge this week!

Hilda over at Lotstodo challenged us to use metal anywhere, anyhow and to have fun! Well, I didn't have metal so I had fun with gesso, black paint, gilding creme, my cuttlebug and tinfoil. The image is from the very generous and lovely June Thank you!

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you so much to all for the lovely and encouraging comments. Makes my heart sooo glad!

Yea .... right ....

.... here I am trying to be all creative like! This here address book was decorated using tin foil, acrylic paint and touches of antique gold and bronze gilding creme!

Oh, that's 'kewl' translated means 'cool' from my children. I gave birth to them and they speak a different language! Lordy, lordy, preserve me!
I am now off to bed because we have to get Missy M to Uni at sparrow's in the am. A good 9 hour journey!
Take care and keep well and thanks so much for your interest!

I played ....

...... but did not succeed ......

in getting the desired effect! I tried the transfer technique from Sam over at TechniqueZone but I think my 'el cheepo' acrylic paint is not up to the challenge!
If at first you don't succeed, try and try again! That's my motto! I should try following my own advice!!!
With this technique, you paint your background and while still wet place your photocopied image (face down) on the wet background.
You can use your heating gun to speed up the drying process or you can cook your family's dinner in the meantime. Choice is yours! Hubby cooks on a Tuesday! Damn have I got me organised or what!
Then you lightly spritz your paper image with water and very gently start rubbing the backing off your image. My image started 'rubbing off' too, hence the not so successful! But it does give an interesting effect!
What's your verdict!
Thanks for looking and thanks for the comments!
Snow warming hugs
